This is part of my Dissertation project for my Doctorate Degree at George Fox University in Global Missional Leadership. Feed the Crave is a mission organization that facilitates discipleship through missional experience. Feed the Crave exist to help people grow in experiencing God and His Kingdom and give them tangible experiences in partnering in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have chosen address one the largest issues facing the world, which is hunger and starvation. The mission starts right where people are at here in the United States. Churches host food-packing events where meals are prepared so that they can be sent to nations in which hunger and extreme poverty exist. We believe that when we can connect people from the beginning of the mission project to the final step that it brings a more holistic view of missions. We do not simply want people to give money or wright a check. We desire them to be a part of the mission and story that God is writing for them. We chose Costa Rica because it is a third world nation that faces several natural disasters each year as well as extreme poverty on a day-to-day basis. However it is still safer and more stable than most 3rd world countries. This is key because we want to give people the opportunity to deliver the food that they package to the people that need it.
